It's tough to be positive all the time when working in education or any form of government when the economy is bad and we're in a budget crisis. Fortunately, there are some positives. Our numbers are increasing significantly for the upcoming semester. Today, a huge (almost life-sized...well, not quite) map of our general service area was released along with all kinds of information regarding demographics and such. After explaining the corresponding data, my boss said, "Things are looking good. We're penetrating really well."
That's where I lost it.

in all seriousness though, i know what you mean. this budget crisis is affecting the educational landscape horribly...as if it wasn't horrible enough already. as much as we'd all like to think students won't be affected we kinda have to prepare for it. hopefully it gets better soon. and fast.
btw, i still have my prize, haha. thanks for all the CSM gear!
