Just A Friend
There are so many great life lessons to be learned from pop music. Here's a song for my buddy:

Good Knowledge
Unhappy couples tend to stay together in tough economic times (you know what I'm talking about). It's not my style to rip.

I'm Not Surprised, California
Why?
-California voters chose to get rid of affirmative action
-they elected Arnold (good one)
-voted against a fee-decrease at California Community Colleges (looks like those fees are going up now)
-selected Hillary in the primary
-shot down same sex marriage
-now have decided to vote against public service and education when their support was needed most
Give yourselves a pat on the back!

This Is Not A Joke
The California state budget is in bad shape. I personally don't agree with all of the new propositions but want to make it clear that they're not just some b-s threats from Arnold and the democratic legislature. Opponents say that the propositions will not "fix" the state's budget--it was never intended to cure anything. Our state is on life support. Services for everyday people will be lost. Police officers, firefighters, and educators WILL lose their jobs either way the propositions go. It comes down to damage control. No one has come up with an alternative to solve California's budget crisis. Most days I'm an idealist but a wise woman once taught me the art of compromise.
Take the high road.
Take the high road.

Can't We All Just Get Along
Thank you, Rodney King. It's sad for me to see friends who go way back at odds like this. Work it out, people. You're adults, not children. The drama and shit talking has gone too far. Grow up!!!

Used To Be My Girl
I love the original O'Jays version so much--it actually makes me think about the great Nicole Mendoza. Here's a different take on the classic from Nick and Joe...I mean Hall and Oates:

Yet Another Reason To Cheer On The Rockets
To quote the great Gary Radnich: "Who does that?! Who has time!" Proposing at sporting events is ALWAYS a bad decision.

I Love You Guys But...
"Don't Ask Me No Questions" by Lynyrd Skynyrd--before they had music videos. Do we have music videos today? I haven't seen one on MTV since 2005. This explains the video quality (or lack thereof). They're just a fantastic band! I hope you got the moral of the story.
