My neighborhood was featured on HGTV tonight--side by side with traditionally posh powerhouses such as Pac Heights and the Castro. On one hand, I'm sad that the city's best kept secret is getting exposed. On the other hand, I'm happy it's getting the respect it deserves. GP's got character: great food, schools, excellent access to public transportation, parks, shops, and plenty of parking. It's diverse. It's safe. It's awesome. Sure we've got hipsters and yuppies but what neighborhood doesn't?! Much like the Mission or Russian Hill and the Richmond--Glen Park IS San Francisco.
To the ignorant critics, here are some words from the great, Rick Ross:
"Who gives a f*ck what a hater got to say?!"
