No Hitter

Seeing Jonathan Sanchez throw a no-hitter was the most exciting thing I've seen live and in person at AT&T Park since Barry Bonds broke the all-time career home run record (I say this with all due respect to Icer Air 2007). The thing about watching Barry hit his home run is that we all knew it was going to happen. With no-hitters, you never know until that last out is recorded. Of all the starting pitchers in the Giants rotation, next to Zito, Sanchez would be the last guy you'd expect to throw a no-no. It was an amazing experience. I flaked out on some good friends that night to be at the game and I hate to say it, but it was well worth it.

Here are the thoughts that ran through my head immediately following that moment in history:

The good news: I just witnessed a no-hitter live and in person!

The bad: "I Gotta Feeling" by the Black Eyed Peas will be stuck in my head for the rest of my life.
